What Are Discipleship Nights?

Our discipleship nights are Sunday evenings at select times throughout the year where we take intentional time to invest into people, bring specific teaching and equipping in a variety of areas, and provide the space for people to grow and expand in their personal life!

We will offer throughout the year a variety of different courses that people can sign up to. Each course will last for a duration of approximately the school term.

We would encourage you to check out the courses below and register yourself to be part of one! We believe in discipleship and growth, and believe that these discipleship nights provide a great platform, space and opportunity for all people to expand and grow in their personal life!

Courses Available

*Child minding is available for anyone attending our discipleship nights. $10 per child for the whole term includes dinner.

Childminding from 5pm – 7pm in the Parents room. Kids will enjoy craft, activities and a movie with a pizza dinner. Registrations are vital for maintaining correct ratios.

Sunday 8th October for 8 weeks 

We’ve all been hurt by other people, we’ve hurt ourselves, and we’ve hurt others. And as a result, every single one of us ends up with some sort of hurt, hang-up, or habit. But the question we all face is, Where do we go from here?

Life’s Healing Choices is an eight week, video-based study written by Rick Warren and John Baker, pastors at Saddleback Church that uses the Beatitudes of Jesus as the foundation. Through making each of these choices, you will find God’s pathway to wholeness, growth, spiritual maturity, happiness, and healing. You’ll find real answers, real hope, and

a real future—one healing choice at a time.  This course is a great introduction to the principles of Celebrate Recovery.

Session topics:

  • Admitting Need – The Reality Choice.
  • Getting help – The Hope Choice. 
  • Letting Go – The Commitment Choice. 
  • Coming Clean – The Housecleaning Choice.
  • Making Changes – The Transformation Choice.
  • Repairing Relationships – The Relationship Choice. 
  • Maintaining Momentum – The Growth Choice.
  • Recycling Pain – The Sharing Choice. 

When: Sunday 8th October – Sunday 26th November

Time: 5pm – 7pm

Cost: $10 per participant to go towards the cost of workbook.  (Child-minding available $10 per child)

Sunday 8th October for 5 weeks 

An informal, interactive, look at some of the challenges we face living today for Jesus. This would be a 5-week short course driven by the questions from those attending. It would involve grace filled biblical responses to some of the challenges facing Christians today. An opportunity for attendees to be discipled in responding authentically and with integrity to today’s culture.

Answering the Hard Questions asked of Christians such as:

  • Why do Bad things happen to Good People? 
  • What is biblical response to understanding identity? 
  • Where do we stand on the second coming of Jesus? 
  • How do we effectively reach people for Jesus? 
  • What are the Gifts of the Holy Spirit? 
  • What does it mean to be a generous Christian? 
  • How should I respond to ungodly legislation? 

When: Sunday 8th October – Sunday 5th November

Time: 5pm – 6.30pm

Cost: No Cost (Child-minding available $10 per child)
